91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳ Procurement supports universities across Australia and New Zealand by negotiating sector-wide agreements for scholarly content, data, and services. This introductory session is designed specifically for university procurement staff who are less familiar with the library procurement environment and 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳’s role within it.

The session will cover:

  • An overview of 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳ Procurement and how the consortium model works
  • The collective benefits of 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳ led negotiations, including cost efficiencies and sector-wide leverage
  • How Open Access agreements are structured and why they matter
  • Key aspects of licensing, invoicing, and financial workflows
  • How 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳ works with institutions to streamline procurement and support accountability
  • Why content procurement is typically led by library teams, and the specialised expertise they bring

There will also be time for questions. If you work in procurement, legal, or finance and support your institution’s library contracts, this session will provide valuable context and help build a clearer understanding of the 91×ÔÅÄÂÛ̳ process.
